About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of controls across the branch network and corporate functions.
  • Conduct control assurance assessments.
  • Proactively identify and evaluate operational and compliance risks.
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of controls.
  • Maintain reporting on key control performance indicators, exceptions, trends, and operational risk incidents.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • First Degree qualification in Risk Management, Audit, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a control or audit environment.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of banking policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Understanding of branch operational processes and their relationship with the business.
  • Working knowledge of branch controls within a banking environment.
  • Working knowledge of banking operating systems, processes, and controls.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport and maintain professional relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Logical, analytical, clear, focused, and methodical approach to work.
