The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs of tractors, sprayers, pumps, trailers, and other agricultural machinery. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to minimize equipment downtime while supporting efficient farm operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Inspect, service, and repair tractors, sprayers, trailers, pumps, and other farm implements.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify potential failures.
• Maintain and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, and basic electrical components.
• Service machinery according to manufacturer recommendations and maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to field machinery breakdowns and technical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, spare parts, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with farm and production teams to ensure machinery availability.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and equipment defects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications required:

• Diploma or Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agro-Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in agricultural machinery, horticulture, or farm operations.
• Practical experience in machinery maintenance, hydraulics, fault diagnosis, and basic electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality maintenance practices.
