Creditors Clerk - Pipeline at Pedros

Pedros is inviting applications for the position of Creditors Clerk - Pipeline based at its Distribution Centre in East London, Eastern Cape. This permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced finance professional with strong creditors, supplier reconciliation, and payment processing experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full creditors function, ensuring supplier accounts, invoices, and payments are processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with company financial procedures and agreed credit terms.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage the full creditors function from invoice processing to payment preparation.
• Process supplier invoices accurately and maintain up-to-date supplier information.
• Prepare and submit supplier payments according to approved payment schedules.
• Allocate supplier payments correctly within the accounting system.
• Follow up outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Reconcile supplier accounts against supplier statements.
• Ensure supplier accounts are settled within agreed credit terms.
• Prepare and distribute weekly supplier age analysis reports.
• Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and resolve account-related queries.
• Process all creditor transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Creditors Clerk or in a similar finance role.
• At least 3 years’ practical experience using Sage 200 Evolution.
• Sound understanding of the full creditors and finance function.
• Previous experience within the FMCG, Fast Food, or Retail sector is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a hands-on approach to work.
