Head of Human Resources and Administration at KK Security – A GardaWorld Company

KK Security, a GardaWorld Company, is looking for an experienced Head of Human Resources and Administration to lead both strategic and operational HR functions in Tanzania. This senior leadership role is based in Dar es Salaam and works closely with the Country Director and the HR Director – Africa to deliver people strategies that support business growth and organizational excellence.

The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, performance management, industrial relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee welfare, and HR compliance while ensuring alignment with Tanzanian labour laws and GardaWorld’s global standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Create, review, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Tanzanian labour legislation.
• Lead recruitment, selection, and workforce planning across departments.
• Manage HR service providers, consultants, and recruitment agencies.
• Ensure all employees receive compliant employment contracts.
• Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
• Drive performance management, goal setting, appraisals, and feedback processes.
• Handle disciplinary matters fairly and in accordance with employment laws.
• Lead grievance resolution and support legal labour matters when required.
• Develop succession planning and career development initiatives.
• Identify training needs and coordinate employee learning and development programs.
• Implement staff welfare and employee well-being initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records, leave, attendance, and HR data.
• Build positive industrial relations and serve as the key contact with trade unions.
• Liaise with government institutions on labour and employment matters.
• Administer medical, pension, and insurance benefit schemes.
• Mentor, coach, and develop the HR team to achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Administration, General Management, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in Human Resource Management is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Human Resources Management.
• Strong expertise in recruitment and selection.
• Experience in learning and development.
• Knowledge of performance management systems.
• Experience managing compensation and benefits.
• Strong understanding of HR policy development and implementation.
• Solid industrial relations and labour relations experience.
• Experience working in labour-intensive and unionized environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws.
