Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely, and insightful management reports.
• Develop financial forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
• Provide analytical insights on financial performance.
• Work with budget holders to identify key cost and revenue drivers.
• Prepare cost and revenue forecasts based on operational data.
• Develop cost dashboards and monitor financial KPIs.
• Attend monthly meetings with budget holders.
• Monitor expenditure to ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
• Review budget versus actual revenue and expenditure.
• Investigate significant budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support budget holders with financial queries and reporting.
• Manage the daily administration of fuel tokens.
• Coordinate monthly fuel cost allocations and prepare fuel reports.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for major cost items, including fuel, electricity, cane haulage, and plant hire.
• Prepare and submit month-end journals accurately and on time.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting within assigned sections.
• Promote continuous personal and professional development.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or a related finance field.
• CPA(T) Certification.
• ACCA Certification.
• Strong financial analysis and management reporting skills.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Knowledge of financial KPI monitoring and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• High attention to detail and analytical ability.
