About the Role

The Assistant Director of Finance will support the company's financial management activities, including financial analysis, reporting, audit and control, cash controls, budgeting, and compliance. The successful candidate will also help develop cost-saving measures, improve financial processes, and identify solutions to discrepancies in financial records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and financial reporting while supporting audit, control, and cash management activities.
• Develop and implement proactive financial solutions and cost-cutting measures.
• Prepare financial statements for clients and senior management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist the Director of Finance with budgeting activities.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with legal requirements and established accounting principles.
• Assist with filing and preparing tax documentation.
• Work with the finance team to develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
• Collaborate with the IT department to maintain financial records and support financial system processes.
• Identify appropriate solutions to discrepancies found in financial records.
• Support effective financial controls and accurate record keeping across the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A degree in Accounting.
• At least four years of previous experience in a five-star hotel environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• Proficiency in SUN, MC, Opera, and Micros systems.
• High ethical standards and strong personal integrity.
• Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
• Proven experience in leading a team.
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, and accounting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with finance and other internal teams.
