Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the bank’s IT strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Establish effective IT department structures, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Manage the IT budget and ensure cost-effective technology operations.
• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor compliance with corporate IT governance and industry best practices.
• Support the deployment of cybersecurity frameworks and security solutions.
• Implement incident, service request, and change management processes based on ITIL.
• Manage technology infrastructure including data centres, servers, networks, storage, backups, databases, telephony, and business applications.
• Identify technology risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Resolve audit findings and strengthen operational and security controls.
• Monitor IT system performance and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Allocate IT resources to support business and technology projects.
• Oversee software development and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Ensure effective end-user support through helpdesk and service management processes.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience leading IT teams.
• Proven experience managing diverse technology teams.
• Experience implementing Core Banking Systems (CBS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.
• Professional certifications in ITIL, COBIT, CRISC, CGEIT, or PMP are desirable.
• Certifications in networking, systems administration, databases, virtualization, cloud technologies, or software architecture are an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, and enterprise systems.
• Experience in IT systems analysis, implementation, and evaluation.
• Proven project management experience.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing IT budgets and technology investments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and lead collaborative teams.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
