The National Biosafety Authority (NBA) is inviting applications from qualified Kenyan citizens for the position of Chief Executive Officer. This is a senior executive leadership opportunity for an experienced professional to provide strategic direction and overall leadership to the Authority.

Established under the Biosafety Act CAP 320, the National Biosafety Authority is responsible for regulating the transfer, handling, and use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) to protect human and animal health while safeguarding the environment. The successful candidate will serve as the Accounting Officer of the Authority and report directly to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a Kenyan citizen.
• Hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya.
• Have at least ten (10) years of proven management-level experience.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, governance, financial management, and strategic management skills.
