EPC SDP Graduate Training Programme

The South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) is inviting applications for the EPC Skills Development Programme (SDP) Graduate Training Programme. The programme is designed to provide unemployed graduates with foundational technical knowledge and practical skills that can support Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)-related activities in buildings.

The 10-day training programme is offered at NQF Level 4 and will expose participants to building information gathering, energy-performance data collection, data capturing, and quality assurance. Participants will help develop the skills needed to support building owners and accounting officers with EPC registration, assessment, and compliance activities.

The programme will provide training and practical exposure in the following areas:

• Collecting data required for the registration and assessment of buildings.
• Analysing building energy-performance data.
• Supporting activities related to the issuance of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
• Collecting and capturing building energy-performance information in accordance with prescribed EPC requirements.
• Gathering relevant building information.
• Capturing building energy-performance data accurately.
• Applying basic quality assurance practices to collected information.
• Supporting efforts to improve the energy performance of buildings.
• Contributing to regulatory compliance related to Energy Performance Certificates.
