3,000 Casual Workers at Mombasa County Government 2026

The Mombasa County Public Service Board has announced an opportunity for suitably qualified youth, women and persons with disabilities to be engaged as casual workers on a temporary basis. The recruitment is part of the County Flood Prevention, Drainage Restoration and Environmental Rapid Response Programme, which is being implemented through the Mombasa Yangu Programme under the County Government of Mombasa.

A total of 3,000 youth will be engaged and onboarded in phases according to the County’s operational requirements and approved deployment arrangements. Successful applicants will work for three months on a casual basis in departments responsible for transport and environment.

1. Casual Workers / General Labourers

• Total Vacancies: 3,000
• Terms of Service: Three (3) months on a casual basis
• Transport Department: 1,500 positions
• Environment Department: 1,500 positions
• Total: 3,000 positions
