The successful candidate will analyze credit trends, prepare management and regulatory reports, coordinate Credit Reference Bureau reporting, support mortgage processing, and contribute to reducing credit losses through effective risk monitoring and mitigation.

Responsibilities
- Identify and report current and emerging credit risks across the bank.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly credit portfolio reports by branch, product, and loan cycle.
- Review risks associated with new products and projects.
- Analyze credit risk trends and prepare branch and product performance reports.
- Recommend and support implementation of credit risk mitigation measures.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing credit losses and improving profitability.
- Compile documentation required for mortgage processing.
- Prepare mortgage documentation following loan approvals.
- Ensure appropriate risk avoidance measures are maintained.
- Communicate and support implementation of Risk Management Findings (RMF).
- Investigate poorly performing products and recommend further analysis where necessary.
- Promote credit risk awareness across the organization.
- Strengthen collaboration between relevant operational teams.
- Prepare Bank of Tanzania (BOT) and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) reports.
- Act as the liaison with BOT and Credit Information authorities on CRB reporting matters.
- Submit monthly credit reference reports to the Bank of Tanzania.
- Resolve customer disputes relating to credit reference status.
- Validate and update customer information with the Credit Reference Bureau where applicable.
- Process customer requests for record clearance in accordance with regulations.
- Prepare vintage analysis reports.
- Prepare PEP reports.
- Produce daily collection efficiency reports.
- Support regulatory compliance and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Contribute to protecting the bank’s reputation through accurate reporting and responsible credit management.
Qualifications Required
- Master’s Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, Marketing, Risk Management, or another relevant discipline.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and data interpretation skills.
- Experience in credit management is highly desirable.
- Five years of experience in credit management will be an added advantage.
