Free State Provincial Treasury Graduate Internship Programme 2026

The Free State Provincial Treasury, in partnership with the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET), has opened applications for its 24-month Graduate Internship Programme for unemployed South African graduates. A total of 15 internship opportunities are available across several fields, including Accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance, Economics and Econometrics, Information Technology, Data Science, Construction Project Management, Compliance and Risk Management, and B.Com Law.

The programme will be based in Bloemfontein, Free State Province, and successful interns will receive a monthly stipend of R8,174.75. Preference will be given to eligible young people who are residents of the Free State Province, provided they meet the required qualifications. Qualifications Required

Applicants for the Free State Provincial Treasury Graduate Internship Programme must meet the following requirements:

• Be an unemployed South African graduate.
• Hold an appropriate three-year National Diploma or a four-year Degree.
• Have successfully completed the relevant qualification.
• Applicants whose qualification certificates have not yet been issued must provide an official academic transcript.
• Such applicants must also submit a letter from their institution confirming successful completion of their studies.
• For Accounting opportunities, applicants should hold a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• For Finance opportunities, applicants should hold a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Finance, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• For Economics and Econometrics opportunities, applicants should hold a National Diploma or Degree in Economics, Econometrics, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• For Information Technology opportunities, applicants should hold a National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• For Data Science opportunities, applicants should hold a National Diploma or Degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• For Construction Project Management opportunities, applicants should hold a National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Construction Project Management, or an equivalent recognized qualification.

Preference

Preference will be given to eligible youth applicants who are residents of the Free State Province, provided that they satisfy all the prescribed minimum requirements for the Graduate Internship Programme.
