Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Analyze and monitor all landed costs for imported and exported goods.
• Conduct shipment pre-costing and compare estimated versus actual costs.
• Include duties, clearing charges, and regulatory costs in landed cost calculations.
• Analyze currency fluctuations and additional logistics expenses.
• Ensure invoices and Goods Received Notes (GRNs) are posted within 48 hours.
• Prepare monthly variance reports and reconciliation of imports and exports.
• Maintain secure records of import and clearing documentation.
• Reconcile monthly goods received, including GRNs and prepayments.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
• Develop weekly and monthly dashboards for imports into and exports from Tanzania.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Development and Supply Network Planning teams across the region.
• Standardize operational processes through SOPs and work standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Cost Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting, import clearing and forwarding, inventory management, or related logistics functions.
• FMCG industry experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of supply chain planning processes and import/export operations.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• High attention to detail and logical thinking.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• A continuous improvement mindset with adaptability to change.
