Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on plant and light vehicle equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Secondary School Education.
• Diesel Mechanics Trade Certificate, Full Technician Certificate, or VETA Grade I qualification.
• Valid Tanzanian Driving Licence Class D; Class F will be an added advantage.
• Technical or vocational training through FTC, VETA, IMTT, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in diesel mechanical maintenance.
• Previous experience in the mining industry.
• Experience with light vehicle workshop operations.
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanics, tires, engines, gearboxes, and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to perform engine and gearbox overhauls independently.
• Strong analytical, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
