Assistant, Supply Chain at Water Mission – 2026

Water Mission is seeking an Assistant, Supply Chain to support procurement, logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations in Dodoma. The successful candidate will help ensure efficient supply chain processes while maintaining high standards of integrity, accountability, and service in support of the organization’s humanitarian mission.

Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit dedicated to ending the global water crisis by providing sustainable safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions to communities around the world.

Responsibilities include:

• Guide project teams on procurement procedures and supply chain best practices.
• Prepare and implement the annual procurement plan.
• Process procurement requests, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
• Coordinate shipment clearance and timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain and update the pre-qualified supplier database.
• Draft service contracts with suppliers when required.
• Coordinate inventory transportation to field sites and prepare packing lists and waybills.
• Conduct monthly warehouse stock counts and maintain stock/bin cards.
• Maintain accurate inventory ledgers and warehouse records.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory reports.
• Ensure proper storage, security, and accountability of warehouse inventory.
• Support field teams in maintaining accurate inventory movement records.
• Provide supply chain orientation to newly recruited staff.

Qualifications required:

• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply chain or procurement.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent relationship-building and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Valid clean driving licence.
• High level of integrity and commitment to accountable resource management.
• Alignment with Water Mission’s mission, values, and Statement of Faith.
