Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join its Mtwara Plant as an In Gate & Out Gate Officer. The position focuses on supporting logistics operations and ensuring the smooth movement of cement products, materials, and trucks between the plant and approved destinations.

The successful candidate will help coordinate truck dispatch, driver verification, weighbridge processes, and the recording of incoming and outgoing vehicles. In addition, the role requires close attention to safety, inventory procedures, reporting, and compliance with the company’s logistics standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispatch all trucks through SAP before allowing them to leave the plant.
• Verify drivers through the biometric system before truck dispatch.
• Receive and maintain accurate details of all dispatched trucks in the appropriate register.
• Ensure registered ATCs are dispatched to the weighbridge on time.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing trucks, including product quantities, arrival and departure times, driver names, and other relevant information.
• Ensure all plant logistics activities comply with Dangote Industries Limited’s Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
• Coordinate the efficient and timely loading of customers’ trucks with purchased products using the FIFO principle.
• Prepare and submit reports on logistics activities at the plant.
• Provide recommendations where necessary to improve logistics operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Transport.

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Transport and Logistics, or another related field.
• At least two (2) years of experience in logistics management.
• Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislation related to the cement manufacturing industry.
• Sound knowledge of Dangote Industries Limited’s products and services.
• Working knowledge of inventory management terminology, methodologies, and approaches.
• Basic knowledge of system-based inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Willingness to learn, improve, and adapt to changing requirements.
• Basic knowledge of relevant tools and technologies, including Microsoft Excel and project management applications.
